But since Rose was keen to have him back, and he’s the living proof of a second chance and the wonders of spirit use, Adrian should actually feel good about Dimitri’s return. Except he wasn’t. Not entirely anyways. “You’ll get there eventually.” He still encouraged, tone softer this time. “Get the god going if you know what I mean.”
That particular title had always confused him; god. It had been said to his face once, and that had been an accident, but otherwise he had heard it in whispers, always closely laced to his name. He hadn’t quite decided on how he felt about the nickname, but his initial response was annoyance. One thing was certain; he was not at all flattered by it. That was not Adrian’s fault, however, and seeing as how he appreciated life a lot more these days, he could not to anything but send the other a small smile. "I hope so.”
